About the Job
Stepico is looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of diverse casual and midcore service games. This role is ideal for a proactive designer who enjoys working hands-on with gameplay systems and also communicating directly with clients to shape the vision of each project. You will take part in the full cycle of game design – from the first client call to polished documentation and successful delivery – while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across development, art, and production.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to help define their vision and convert high-level concepts into clear game mechanics, features, and systems.
- Compose or lead the creation of comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDDs), economy specs, UX flows, and content plans.
- Work closely with developers and artists to ensure the vision is properly implemented and maintained throughout production.
- Own the feature development process – from brainstorming, documentation, and iteration to validation with stakeholders.
- Balance systems using data-informed decision-making and participate in feature tuning for live-service contexts.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and apply learnings to new and ongoing projects.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Game Design with at least one shipped title (preferably mobile F2P).
- Deep knowledge of core gameplay design, progression systems, and monetization mechanics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher).
- Experience in creating structured, clear design documentation and task breakdowns.
- Hands-on knowledge of Google Sheets, Figma, Miro/Draw.io, Jira, Confluence.
Nice-to-Have
- Understanding of LiveOps and event-driven design.
- Familiarity with Unity and/or gameplay prototyping.
- Experience mentoring mid-level designers or coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Background in working with analytics tools (e.g. GameAnalytics, Firebase).
