About the Project
Our project is a casual mobile F2P game that blends Merge-2 mechanics with an engaging adventure story set in a captivating, atmospheric world. On the backend it’s a server-authoritative, microservice platform built to run live-ops at scale — A/B testing, configurable game balance, and personalized offers for a large, active player base. You’ll work in a mature .NET ecosystem where the server and the Unity client share a common codebase, which accelerates development and keeps the project stable and consistent.
What You’ll Do
- Design and write server-side game logic on ASP.NET Core (.NET 8) across a microservice architecture, each cleanly layered into API / business logic / data access.
- Build real-time client—server communication with SignalR.
- Develop within the shared server/client logic (a common .NET codebase consumed by the Unity client) to keep game rules consistent across both sides.
- Model and optimize data access over PostgreSQL (EF Core / Npgsql), Redis, and AWS DynamoDB — handling large data volumes and high-throughput queries.
- Integrate services through a RabbitMQ message bus.
- Ship and operate services on AWS with Kubernetes (Helm), with observability via Prometheus / OpenTelemetry and CI/CD on GitLab.
Tech Stack
.NET 8 · ASP.NET Core · SignalR · EF Core + Npgsql · PostgreSQL · Redis · RabbitMQ · AWS (DynamoDB & cloud hosting) · Kubernetes / Helm · Prometheus / OpenTelemetry · GitLab CI · Unity (client).
Requirements

- Solid SQL / PostgreSQL skills, including query optimization and working with large datasets.
- Experience with distributed / microservice systems and caching (Redis).
- A good grasp of algorithms and the ability to solve logical problems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Nice to Have
