About the Project
We are developing a mobile Match-3 game with a meta-game layer. The project includes:
- Core Gameplay: Match-3 levels.
- Meta Layer: Farming, development, and decorations.
- Interaction: Engaging with characters and animals.
- UI System: Screens, shops, offers, and events.
- Visuals: Light animations (Spine) and minimalist VFX.
Product Style:
- Bright, clean, and intuitive.
- Targeted at a mass-market audience.
- Mid-core casual quality level.
- Primary focus: Usability, readability, and logic.
Key Responsibilities
- Match-3 Assets: Tiles, boosters, and blockers.
- UI Elements: Resource icons, buttons, and system elements.
- Meta/Environment: Decorations, trees, objects, and buildings (both “hero” and simple structures).
- Characters: Simple NPCs and animals.
- Pipeline Adherence: Working according to art guidelines, maintaining style consistency, and ensuring harmony with existing assets.
Requirements
Experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in 2D art.
- Background in GameDev (strongly preferred).
- Experience with mobile/casual projects.
- A portfolio featuring relevant work.
Artistic Skills
- Strong understanding of form and silhouette.
- Mastery of color and contrast.
- Solid grasp of composition and readability.
Production Mindset
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Deep understanding of the art pipeline.
- Experience working with references and implementing feedback/revisions.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Match-3 mechanics or UI design.
- Experience with stylized projects.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling.
Software & Tools
- Adobe Photoshop.
- Preferred: Adobe Illustrator, Blender / Maya (for blockouts), Spine (basic understanding).
