Node.JS Developer

About Stepico/project:

Our team is designing and implementing new features for an existing real-time multiplayer online strategy game developed for mobile platforms. The game is a well-established product from a Ukrainian client, and our goal is to enhance its functionality, improve user experience, and introduce engaging new gameplay elements. We have a small, friendly, and highly collaborative project team, where members support each other and share expertise. The team consists of 15 professionals, including Backend, Frontend Developers, QA, Game Designer, UX/UI Designer, 2D Artists. 

Requirements:

  • 3+ year of professional experience with Node.JS;
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript;
  • 1+ years of experience with Nest.JS framework;
  • Strong understanding of MongoDB;
  • Experience with Redis;
  • Docker & Docker compose;
  • Strong understanding of OOP;
  • REST;
  • Swagger/OpenAPI;
  • Unit tests;
  • Git.

Nice to have:

  • Ansible;
  • Traefic;
  • Graylog;
  • NewRelic;
  • Experience with Web3.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create high quality maintainable code;
  • Add new features to the existing project;
  • Write unit tests;
  • Discussion with team, clarification of technical requirements, specification to get ready for development;
  • Provide precise estimates;
  • Participate in daily team meetings, refinements, retrospectives.
