Middle VFX Artist

We are looking for an experienced VFX Artist to support the production of new and existing titles in development at Stepico Games. VFX Artist will work closely with the project’s key leaders and all the development team to successfully execute a new game.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Unity
  • Experience in creating 2D and 3D VFXs
  • Experience in writing and/or editing shaders for Unity projects (Shader Graph)
  • Experience working with Particle systems in Unity
  • Knowledge of the render pipeline and how best to achieve custom visuals
  • Knowledge of essential DCC software: 3D (Blender, Maya, 3DsMax) and 2D (Photoshop, Substance Designer) editor software.
  • Skills in creating good-looking and appealing animation:
    – knowledge of Unity animation approaches (Animator, Playable) and integration with: UI, Skinned Mesh, and Shaders;
    – 12 principles of animation, ability to use correctly slow-ins.

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with optimization for mobile games
  • Experience in creating complex custom VFX
  • Experience in working with Shader HLSL
  • Knowledge of any procedural generation software/tools  for fluid simulation (Blender with plug-ins, Houdini, etc)
  • Experience in the Integration of art assets into a game
  • Experience of animation in any 3D software (Maya, Blender)
  • Have good artistic skills, understanding of the composition basics, knowledge of movement, and harmony of color.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create/support custom visual effects, including 2d, 3d, particles, shaders, and others.
  • Work closely with art and development teams to create beautiful and well-performing VFX (both built-in and custom) and particle systems utilizing provided art assets.
  • Update, improve or request art assets in the correct and optimal delivery format to create new VFX.
