About Project 

Discovery is our upcoming first-person shooter game, built on the power of Unreal Engine 5. VR Sci-Fi shooter allows players to explore a diverse world using various locomotion systems, climb structures, operate fantastical transports, and fly using drones. Players can engage enemies using a wide array of weapons of their choice, while also utilizing special abilities to gain advantages in the game world.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of UE development experience;
  • In-depth knowledge renders principle;
  • In-depth knowledge of material editor and tools;
  • Good knowledge of Niagara systems;
  • In-depth knowledge Blueprints system;
  • Strong math skills;
  • Knowledge optimization practices (CPU / GPU / RAM);
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Experience with different development  platforms (PC, Consoles, Mobile);
  • The experience launched UE commercial releases;
  • Ability to provide best practices to development flow;
  • Understanding the principles of cross-platform development;
  • Knowledge of debug tools like Insight or RenderDoc.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and support materials using material editor.
  • Ability to create lightweight VFX systems in Niagara;
  • Creating and supporting Niagara modules and emitters;
  • Build particle behavior for Niagara using Blueprints;
  • Understanding HLSL language;
  • Ability to write complex shaders;
  • Knowledge of texturing principles (UV, Atlases etc.);
  • Optimization of existing VFX systems, shaders, and textures;
  • Working with the lighting system;
  • Understanding 3D workflow;
  • Understanding word-building workflows.
